When Ugg Boots meet Wordpress

The team at MKN Media built the website for sheepskin boot brand Jumbuck Boots using Wordpress.

The best thing about using Wordpress as a backend and CMS is that many content editors are now accustomed to using it.

Living Loves Fashion videos

Gigi Morley, former National Lottery presenter, is now a style queen making waves in fashion.

She’s writing a book on her favourite subject, accessorising, and fronts a series of style videos for Virgin Media’s Living website.

The features were produced by Gigi’s company Rocks, Frocks & Cocktails with Chuffed Productions and Philip Levine. My friends Rebekah Roy and Zoe Lem were also involved in the project as stylists.

Shoe technology

Having looked at many trainers on various online footwear stores (research purposes) I was overwhelmed with the amount of shoe technology jargon.

I never knew so much technology was involved in designing trainers.

It all sounds so good, and I’m sure most of the technology in the trainers produces the desired effect of increased performance.

Digital Spy forum hate for Cheryl Cole

You’re not a full member of celebdom until you’ve had a dedicated thread that spans at least three pages on the Digital Spy forums.

The boards are awash with scathing, mindless and often hate fuelled comments that would leave celebrities, with the thickest of skins, incandescent with rage.

I did have a bit of a chuckle (albeit little) at a comment made by Rob22 in response to a post by Imogen M

Imogen M said…

“I detest Cheryl Cole. You can’t polish a turd. This “nation’s sweetheart” nonsense is an absolute joke and she’s becoming hideously over-exposed. She has no personality and only got as famous as she is now because her footballer bloke cheated on her.”

To which Rob22 replied…

Chipmunk to the rescue with EastEnders plug

Chipmunk came to my attention after winning Best Newcomer at the MOBO Awards.

I found this video of him on YouTube doing freestyle on a BBC 1Xtra show.

In the background of the radio studio you’ll see Sky News is on. Nice to see the BBC [not] supporting each other was my first thought, but then I began to wonder whether the BBC News crew would be listening to BBC 1Xtra? Doubt it.

Chipmunk does however make up for the lack of Auntie self loving - listen to his lyrics and you’ll notice EastEnders gets a plug.

You. Karaoke. Photographs. Branding. Facebook. Viral

A couple of weeks ago I went to the launch event for the new Karaoke Box in Smithfield, London.

If you haven’t yet had the chance to experience a night in a private karaoke booth you’re definitely missing out.

It’s an opportunity for you and your friends to lock yourself away in a room equipped with microphones and a choice of 5,000 songs.

MyMall (themall.tv)

Self styled as “the World’s First Virtual Shopping Mall”, MyMall (www.themall.tv) launched a few weeks ago.

According to MyMall “Search Engines can be confusing and time consuming and often result in frustration when looking for the simplest of items”.

If MyMall is right and people will find their website easier to use than search engines, they’re sitting on a goldmine.
